BOOK REVIEW POLICY

Thank you for visiting Bookish in Midlife! I am looking forward to starting this new venture and meeting other book lovers, Authors, and Publishers alike. All reviews will be fair, honest representations of the material read.  I will review materials acquired by gifting, purchased with my own money, or received as an ARC copy.  I am not being compensated for my reviews and anything that is featured on Bookish in Midlife are my own opinions and are not influenced in any way.

Publishers and Authors:

I am currently accepting ARC copies in physical (paperback and hardcover) and Kindle formats.  Currently, I am not accepting self-published works.  I enjoy and would like to review books from the following genres:

• Non Fiction
• Mystery/Thriller 
• Midlife Issues 
• Biography/Memoir

Genres I don’t read:

• Paranormal
• Sci Fi
• Erotica 
• Historical Fiction
• Historical Romance 
• Horror

In order to make this a streamlined process, I would like the following information to accompany each review request. This will ensure that we both have a clear understanding of the expectations of your review. 

• Detailed book summary or media release information 
• Release date 
• Timeframe you are requesting the review to be published on my blog

I will try my best to read and review your materials in a timely manner.  If there will be a delay, I will communicate this with you. If I decide that I cannot review your material, I will relay that you as well.  My reviews will be an honest representation of what I thought of the book.  This may include positive and negative comments.  Keep in mind I will never post anything to degrade or disparage an author.  That’s not my style. 

Book reviews will be posted on Bookish in Midlife, TikTok, Instagram, Amazon and Goodreads.
